Find an Illustrator
Many small business people need an illustrator part time. The are many freelance illustrators from which to choose. Most illustrators are freelance since even large advertising companies do not keep an illustrator full time on staff. Many illustrators are available for a variety of artwork from advertising to fine art. Some people are under the impression that a fine artist cannot also illustrate a business card but that is generally not the case. Artists who spend their lives drawing do not start out as small children illustrating toothpaste tubes for fun. They draw their own interests which are always a form of fine art. Illustrators grow out of necessity. There is simply more commissions to illustrate product than there are people looking to commission portraiture. Classically trained fine artist create beautiful illustrations. A good way to find one is to search the internet for the type of illustration you are looking to buy. An examples are "real estate business card artist" or "corporate logo illustrator". Look at their websites and see all the styles that the artist creates. When you find the one whose work "speaks" to you contact them and let them know precisely what you have in mind and the deadline you need it by. Then ask for their advice to make it as good as possible. Try to listen with an open mind and benefit from their experience. Good luck with your search.
